On Tuesday, Israeli military vehicles destroyed a park in the town of "Maroun al-Ras" in southern Lebanon, including a statue of Qasem Soleimani, the former commander of Iran's Quds Force who was killed in an assassination operation.

Earlier the same day, Israeli media published video clips showing Israeli army personnel raising the Israeli flag in the mentioned town, near the memorial to Soleimani.

It's worth noting that the United States had carried out an assassination operation against Soleimani, a prominent Iranian figure, through an airstrike targeting him in the Iraqi capital Baghdad on January 3, 2020.

The park destroyed by Israeli vehicles is known as the Iranian Park or Iran's Garden. This garden is located 400 meters from the Israeli border, in the area of Fatima Gate in Kfar Kila, southern Lebanon. It was constructed with a huge budget by the Council for Reconstruction of Southern Lebanon, with full Iranian funding, in the aftermath of the 2006 war between Hezbollah and Israel.

The area includes large statues and images of Iranian regime leaders, including the former Iranian Supreme Leader, Ruhollah Khomeini, the current Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, as well as a memorial to the former Quds Force commander, Soleimani, pointing his hand towards Israel.

This symbolic site, designed to be a space for family entertainment and recreation, was inaugurated by former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad during his visit to the area in 2010. The garden included informational panels for each province of Iran, along with various models and landmarks, which recent video recordings showed Israeli forces destroying.
